The OfficeScreen wireless zone configuration restricts access for guest wireless users to only the Internet, while allowing authorized wireless users to access corporate resources as well.

With OfficeScreen, the firewall/vpn hardware becomes the security termination point for existing wireless access points and Internet in the customer network. Using managed security zones to apply policy-based access to resources, OfficeScreen wireless zones are configured to secure guest and corporate wireless users and protect access to critical business assets on the network.

This configuration allows OfficeScreen customers to secure existing wireless access points, giving them the ability to grant access to partners, guests, customers and "hoteling" employees while defending against common wireless security risks.

Policy-based routing, virus control and web filtering can also be applied to the wireless zone to further mitigate the risk of giving wireless access to untrusted computers. These options enable the Internet circuit that is used for corporate traffic to also be used for guest Internet access, making even the smallest office a secure hot spot.

The wireless zone configuration is available as an installation request at the time of installation. Anti-virus and web filtering are optional services available on OfficeScreen 5 through OfficeScreen 50.
